Wedding Day Beauty Countdown
As you’ve probably heard, beauty really does start from within so you need to look after your body so your skin can take care of its itself . This means eating lots of fruit and veg and drinking a decent amount of water, not just the odd glass here and there. You could always take this opportunity to get healthier generally, so you’ll look better then ever for those wedding photos.
Even if there isn’t time to exercise your way to your ideal shape for your wedding day, don’t forgo the exercise as it improves circulation and therefore the appearance of your skin. Exercising doesn’t have to involve a gym or even an aerobics class, it doesn’t have to cost anything and there’s really no need to go out and buy more clothes (unless you want too!). Add exercise to your normal day, do shout bursts of exercise such as wall press ups while you’re waiting for the kettle to boil or jog on the spot while you’re waiting for your bath to fill. Actually go walking with your partner, you’ll find that you’ll talk more then you would if you were at home. Long walks are great for producing those memorable conversations.
Walking is only going to help you tone up the lower half of your body so what about your abs and arms? For £5 you can get yourself a gym ball. There are a variety of exercises that can be done on these and they are very good at giving result quickly if used regularly. Grab your exercise ball while you’re watching your favourite tv programmes.
Look after your nails and hair
Too look fantastic on your wedding day, you need to pay attention to the areas of your body which you feel could be better. If you have wonderful hair and nails, lucky you, keep doing what you’re doing already. However for most of us, we have issues with our hair and nails.
A few tips for getting great nails and hair
- Get your hair trimmed regularly
- Use an intensive conditioner treatment specifically formulated for your hair type.
- Use heat protecting products if blow dry or straighten your hair
- Use a mild shampoo so it doesn’t strip your hair of its natural oils.
- Massage your scalp when shampooing to ensure healthy hair growth
- Use hand cream regularly
- Try not to soak your nails in water, get out of doing the washing up or wear gloves
- Use nail products which specifically target the problem you have with your nails such as splitting, peeling and general breakage
- To give your hands and nails a special treat, smother them in hand cream then cover in cotton gloves and sleep in them.
- Use a face scrub once a fortnight to help blemishes by removing dead skin and promoting a health glow.
- Use a body scrub created from brown sugar and a small amount of olive oil once a week to improve the condition of your skin
4 months before your wedding day
If you order your wedding dress from a bridal shop if may have been created by now and you should be able to try it on. You want to feel wonderful in your wedding dress on the day so use this as an opportunity to assess any body issues you may have as there is still enough time to work on them. Don’t stop exercising or looking after your skin, there’s still time to improve your body and your skin. If you want ot try out a bit of pampering such as facials, start now because they will bring impurities to the surface and cause you to break out the first few times.
1 month before your wedding day
Since there’s only a month to go it’s time to really step up your fitness and beauty regime. Try to get a good nights sleep. Carry on drinking plenty of water. Test out new make up for the wedding to check for suitability and reactions. Start paying attention to your back, it will be what your guest will be looking at during the ceremony and you don’t want it to be full of blemishes, use a bath brush to scrub the hard to reach places or alternatively get your boyfriend to be to do it for you.
If you follow this advice by the time your big day arrives you should look and feel wonderful.
