Buying Wedding Jewellery
Sometimes if cash is tight you’re hunting for the cheapest deal on everything and this may include your wedding jewellery. I’m all up for value for money so I generally see shopping around for the right deal the right thing to do. However this might not always be the case, it depends on what you’re wanting to choose so continue reading to find out when you can shop around for your bridal accessories.
Buying crystal wedding jewellery
If you’re clear about which type of crystals are being used and their colour, in most cases as long as you match both, you should be fine chosing earrings from a shop on your high street and finding a necklace to compliment them online. For example, if the crystals are Swarovski and the colour is clear it won’t be too difficult to find something online as many stores of your bridal jewellery prefer the dazzle of Swarovski and most designs are available in clear. There is more of a problem if you are unsure of the manufacturer and the crystal is coloured. In this example if you were trying to match a pink crystal, you’ve got quite a selection to choose from such as rose, rosaline, light rose, vintage rose, rose water opal, fuchsia and many more.
If you’re unsure about trying to match crystal colours you’re better off getting it all from the same place.
Buying diamante bridal jewelry
It can be easier to buy diamante wedding jewellery from different places and still make them match, as most diamante stones look similar even if they are different brands or made in different countries, you will only be able to tell the difference if you look closely and you’ll find the amount of sparkle tends to be the largest difference but unless you place both pieces of jewelry side by side you probably won’t even be able to tell. Be careful when buying diamante wedding jewellery in the cheap accessories stores that you find in town as some of these will be created from acrylic diamantes and will look dull and a pale yellow against glass or crystal counterparts.
Purchasing Pearl Wedding Jewelry
Fresh water pearls are created by nature so their shades will always have light variations, making it harder to match pearls from different bridal jewellery stores. For example I get my fresh water pearls in bulk as I know the next batch might be a slightly different shade to the ones I’ve been using in my wedding jewelry. I strongly suggest that you buy your fresh water pearl wedding jewellery from the same supplier as you might find if you don’t, each piece of jewelry is a different shade to the other. Believe it or not you should do this for faux pearls too, this is also another name for glass or plastic pearls, not that I would ever create anything with plastic pearls. Because there is a huge range of glass pearls and colours it will be difficult to match jewellery from different shops so stick to the same place when ordering all your bridal jewellery.
I hope I’ve helped you in some way, there’s nothing more disappointing in thinking you’ve found the perfect match for a piece of jewellery you already have, only to put them together to find they don’t match at all.
